September 2008 Results

Daily Mail Foursomes, Tuesday 30th September 2008.

This was a Qualifying round of a National Competition and winning pair go on to play in the next round. The results were as follows:

Jac's Putting, Tuesday 23rd September 2008

This competition is won by the player who has the least number of putts in her round. Putts from the fringe of the green or fairway don't count, so there is a lot of tactical play involved in this game. The results were as follows:

September Medal, Saturday 13th & Tuesday 16th September 2008.

Forty two ladies played over the two days of the competition. At last no waterproofs and umbrellas were needed on either day, hence some very good scores. The results were as follows:

Joyce's Grandmothers Trophy and The Rest, Tuesday 9th September 2008.

Seventeen grandmothers competed for Joyce Mallows Grandma's Trophy. As on so many occasions this year many competitors were put of by the bad weather. Joyce presented the trophy to the winner. A separate competition for those who aren't grandmas followed. The results were as follows:

Hawtree Trophy, Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th September 2008

Wexham Park were winners of the Area H2 region in the National Association of Public Golf Courses (NAPGC) annual Hawtree Trophy, qualifying for the National finals. The finals were played at Milton Keynes Golf Club on 6th and 7th September and Wexham Park were overall runners up. Further information and full results can be found on the Hawtree webpage.

Ladies Stableford, Sunday 7th September 2008.

The weather was actually very kind today considering the forecast. The results were as follows:
