September 2006 Results

Jac's Putting Competition, Tuesday 26th September 2006

This is a game of tactics. The winner is the person with the least amount of putts, so competitors try to get their ball as close to the green as possible but not on it so that their first putt does not count. This was reflected in the scores as the gross scores were somewhat higher than normal. Only one person played below their handicap, Sue Carroll had a great score of 65 nett. The results were as follows:

September Medal, Saturday 16th and Tuesday 19th September 2006

Ten Ladies played on Saturday and Thirty one on Tuesday in the September Medal. Once again we were lucky with beautiful late Summer Sunshine. The results were as follows:

Joyce's Grandmothers Trophy, Tuesday 12th September 2006

Joyce Mallows donated this trophy when she was Lady Captain in 1990, it is a strokeplay qualifying competition. This year twenty three Grandmothers took part followed by the non-grannys afterwards. The results were as follows:

Stableford, Sunday 10th September 2006

Fifteen ladies took part in this month's Stableford with some excellent scores achieved.

Frank Jones' Trophy, Saturday 2nd and Tuesday 5th September 2006

Forty eight ladies took part in this competition, ten on Saturday and thirty eight on Tuesday. Perhaps it was due to the late summer sunshine that many of the competitors played so well. The results were as follows:
