October 2006 Results

Peggy's Trophy, Tuesday 31st October 2006

This trophy was presented by Peggy Roe after her term as Lady Captain in 1995. It is played with three clubs and a putter which is always fun. Forty three ladies took part. It was the first really cold day of golf this autumn and also very windy. The results were as follows:

Curtis Cup, Tuesday 23rd October 2006

This is a stableford competition played with irons only. As the course was really wet, there was no run on the ball so it felt like it took forever to get to the hole sometimes. We struggled on and these were the results:

 2nd  Sandra Dowler  30 points
 3rd  Sue Goodliffe  29 points

Pat Hatch's Three Clubs and a Putter, Sunday 21st October 2006

This year twelve ladies took part in Pat Hatch's competition, setting off with only three clubs of their choice and a putter in their bags. The winner chose a 3 wood an 11 wood and a sand wedge, using her 11 wood to chip onto the green.

October Medal and Collette's Bowl, Sunday 15th and Tuesday 17th October 2006

The October Medal is run in conjunction with Collette's Bowl. There was a very large field with nine ladies playing on Sunday and forty six on Tuesday. The results were as follows:

All Winners and Best of the Rest, Sunday 8th and Tuesday 10th October 2006

The All Winners is open to anyone who has won a singles competition during the year. Those who have not won a competition take part under the heading of The Rest. Fourteen Ladies played on Sunday and twenty nine on Tuesday. The Sunday Ladies were much luckier with the weather than those on Tuesday, who all got a good soaking. The results were as follows:
