November 2006 Results

Texas Scramble, Tuesday 21st November 2006

Thirty Eight ladies played in the Texas Scramble format. The results were as follows:

November Medal, Sunday 12th and Tuesday 14th November 2006

Fifty six ladies entered this month’s medal. Those who played on Tuesday all got thoroughly soaked which reflected in the scores. The results were as follows:

Alex's Wedgewood Trophy, Sunday 5th and Tuesday 7th November 2006

This trophy was given to the section by Alex McKendrick who was Lady Captain for two years in 2002 and now plays at Winter Hill. As the name suggests it is played with woods and wedges only. This year 16 ladies played on Sunday and 37 on Tuesday.

Congratulations to Maureen Bailey who had a hole in one on the fifth whilst playing in this competition. Maureen wasn't too sure about playing over the pond with a seven wood instead of her usual iron but it definitely seemed to work for her. This is the second hole in one for Maureen, both have been on this hole.
