March 2010 Results

Marilyn Evans Bowl, Tuesday 30th March

Twenty seven women turned out on a very wet day, although the rain did keep off until 1pm, the later players came in drenched. Please turn up early for your tee time if the weather is bad as on wet days many players drop out. If you have to cancel please telephone in advance to allow the competition secretary to reschedule tee times. We had to cancel 6 tee times today due to cancellations. The results were as follows:

March Midweek Medal, Tuesday 23rd March

Thirty nine ladies played in the March midweek medal. The weather was cloudy and chilly with rain to contend with later on, but despite this there were some excellent scores. The results were as follows:

March Weekend Medal, Sunday 21st March

Colin's Cup, Tuesday 9th and Saturday 13th March

Forty six ladies played in this competition and the format was "Pick your Poison". Players had to nominate three par 3s, five par 4s and one par 5 where they thought they would score well. The winner was the player with the most stableford points over the chosen 9 holes. The format was chosen by Lesley Hunt who donated this trophy in memory of her husband, Colin.
