June 2006 Results

Club Championship, Tuesday 20th and 27th June 2006

Thirty Five ladies took part in the club championship this year. The conditions were good with fine weather, which contributed towards some excellent scores. For the first time in some while we had a tie for the scratch winner, which was decided in a sudden death play off on the first hole. The results were as follows:

Ladies Challenge, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th June 2006

The Ladies Challenge is a two round strokeplay competition played on two consecutive days. The hot weather made this a test of endurance as well as requiring consistent play over 36 holes. The results were as follows:

June Medal, Sunday 11th and Tuesday 13th June 2006

Thirty seven Ladies took part in this month's medal. The weather was hot and sunny which must have contributed to the great scores. The results were as follows:

Bingo, Bango, Bongo, Tuesday 6th June 2006

This was the first time that this competition was tried out. It caused some confusion to begin with but by the end everyone seemed to have got the hang of it. One point was awarded for first on the green. One point for nearest the pin once all players were on the green and one point for first in the hole. It was a beautiful hot sunny day and thirty Ladies took part. The results were as follows:
