Stableford, Sunday 24th July 2005
This month we were unlucky with the weather for our stableford competition with rain for most of the round. The course was grateful for the watering as the fairways had become very dry and brown over the weeks of sunshine.

Match vs Little Hay, Thursday 21st July 2005
We played our home match against Little Hay.
We changed from the normal arrangements of having a buffet afterwards and instead had a hearty breakfast.
We had a full compliment of ladies from both sides and everyone was in great spirits.
Wexham Park won all four matches. Little Hay are looking forward to our return match next year to show us how they play on their own course!

Medal and Juliet Coombs Trophy, Saturday 16th and Tuesday 19th July 2005
47 ladies took part in the July Medal and Juliet Coombs Trophy, and we were delighted to welcome Moira Nicholson who joined us for the first time since getting her handicap.
All of us who played either on the Saturday or Tuesday enjoyed the wonderful Summer weather, let's hope it continues.

Ladies Invitational, Friday 15th July 2005
We held the annual Ladies Invitational Day in glorious sunshine.
We welcomed visiting ladies from quite a few local and not-so-local golf clubs.
We enjoyed the buffet that Paulo had prepared afterwards - his whole dressed poached salmon was an art form; his dessert - to die for!
The results were outstanding:

Gerry Sturgess Trophy, Tuesday 5th July 2005
An excellent turn out of forty seven ladies played in the Gerry Sturgess Trophy.
Welcome to Abi Morgan, Birgitta Gustafsson and Alison Clifford-King, who joined us in their first competition.
We were hoping that the weather might be kind to us and the rain hold off until we were all back in the clubhouse.
Unfortunately even the first players out got soaked when the heavens opened when they were on the fourteenth.
