Over 100 competed in this fantastic event; the course and weather conditions, brilliant sunshine, were perfect. Lady Captain, Sue Goodliffe and her helpers Maureen and Kay provided an excellent and very welcoming pit stop at the 9th, offering a variety of drinks, delicious food and snacks. It was good to see so many folk enjoying themselves even if their scores were not as good as they wished.
Frank Jones did his usual great job as starter and raised over £200 selling raffle tickets, which will go to the Captains' charity. The juniors organised a chipping and putting competition which raised £174 for their section. Thanks to Pete Farhall and Chris Nowlan for keeping the scoreboard updated and sorting out who the prize-winners were. Following an excellent BBQ prepared by Paolo, some wonderful prizes were presented. Thank you Lady Captain and all who participated and helped in making this a day to remember.
