Charity Day 2009
|
The Wexham Park golf club biennial charity day was held this year on Sunday 5th July 2009. Although funds are raised throughout the year, the major fundraising event is the Charity Golf Day.
The main beneficiary of this year's fund raising efforts was the Alexander Devine Children's Cancer Trust.
The Trust's aim is to build and fund a children's hospice service in Berkshire. The photo shows a cheque for £1,000, for the money collected during the year, being presented to the charity at the golf day.

Golf Competitions
This year the format for the golf was a four ball better ball stableford competition with tee times from 8am.
Fifty teams of two entered the competition and there were also prizes for nearest the pin on each of the par 3 holes.
For an additional entry fee, players could beat the pro on the 5th hole to win a sleeve of balls.
On the 10th hole a brand new car could be won for a hole in one.
There were some very good scores and competition for prizes was fierce, with single points separating first, second and third and a count back for fourth place.
